## What is different, honestly

**Vatstack has more:** a dashboard, webhooks, VAT quotes by customer location, invoices, years of operation, and more member-state quirks handled. If you need a hosted dashboard your finance team logs into, Vatstack is the richer product. **Veriport has less, on purpose:** three deterministic endpoints, an OpenAPI document, prepaid calls that do not renew, and a response that states its own provenance (live, cache, structure-only) so your code decides. The VAT rates table and IBAN validation come in the same budget, which matters to a billing system that needs all three. **What neither can do:** make VIES available. Both cache; ours marks the cached answer stale and dates it, and never attaches a consultation number it did not obtain live.
