# Roadmap

Source: https://veriport.io/roadmap (published 2026-10-24, updated 2026-10-28)

Everything under "Planned" is planned, not promised: each line enters when the sign-ups, the search impressions or the waitlist show the demand, in the order the evidence arrives. Nothing planned is callable today; the OpenAPI document lists only what exists. Lines that shipped move to "Live" with a link to their page.

- Roadmap items are not endpoints yet and are not priced.
- The order is decided by measured demand (sign-ups mentioning the need, waitlist interest, search impressions), not by a plan written in advance.
- Each line follows the same rules as v1: deterministic, dated, sourced, with a documented degraded path.

## Live (moved from this page)

- **E-invoices (2026-10-28)** — `POST /einvoice/create`, `/validate`, `/parse`: XRechnung, ZUGFeRD / Factur-X and Peppol BIS from JSON, checked against the official rules, any e-invoice checked or read. See [the e-invoice API](/einvoice-api).
- **OSS return validator (lines only; dispatch-country breakdown not implemented)** — `POST /vat/oss/return`: sales export in, lines per member state and rate out, validated against the rates table, corrections, totals, a labelled generic CSV; 25 calls a return, Idempotency-Key replay. Linked below.
- **French company-registry enrichment** — `GET /fr/company/{id}`: SIREN/SIRET to a normalised record from the open Recherche d’entreprises API and the INSEE Sirene API, cached, officers where the open register gives them. Linked below.
- **US sales-tax rates, ZIP level, public data** — `GET /us/sales-tax?zip=`: state rates for all states, combined ZIP averages where a state publishes a ZIP file, coverage stated per answer. Linked below.

## Planned for e-invoices, on demand

- XRechnung 4.0 (expected spring 2027) as a new format value, with its own evidence run.
- The ZUGFeRD XRECHNUNG profile (an XRechnung inside a ZUGFeRD PDF) and Factur-X EXTENDED.
- The French platform (PA) specifics of the 2026–2027 reform, and sellers outside Germany and Belgium.
- Attachments (BG-24), paid amounts (BT-113), line periods (BG-26) and item identifiers: refused by name today, never dropped.

## Planned next: validation records for company and IBAN checks

VAT validations can be kept as records since 2026-10-30 (`record=true`, `GET /vat/validations`). Next: the same for company and IBAN checks, and scheduled re-validation of the numbers you keep.

## Planned: BIC lookup and SEPA reachability

Resolve an IBAN to its bank’s BIC and name, and say whether the bank is reachable for SCT, SCT Inst and SDD. Why not yet: the SWIFT BIC Directory and IBAN Plus are licensed products; the EPC reachability data comes through the clearing houses. The line opens when the licence cost is covered by plan subscribers asking for it. Today the IBAN endpoint returns the national bank identifier; your bank’s own routing table maps it.

## Planned: portal-format OSS files

A file each national portal imports as is, next to the generic CSV. Germany’s BZSt confirms a CSV import whose record layout is published only inside the logged-in form; France’s guichet unique publishes no import format. A portal file is added the day its specification can be fetched and dated.

## Planned: more ZIP-level states, and address-level US rates

Each state revenue department that publishes an open ZIP-keyed rate file is added as it is ingested (coverage moves from `state_only` to `zip_average`). Address-level jurisdiction assignment needs boundary data that is licensed outside the Streamlined Sales Tax states; it opens only if US sign-ups ask for it in numbers.

## Smaller items, likely sooner

- Webhooks for re-validation: re-check the numbers you invoice recurrently every quarter and notify on a change.
- CSV upload for bulk on the account page (the API already has the bulk endpoints).
- A UK VAT number check through HMRC’s API (the UK left VIES except for XI).
- Historic VAT rates (rate at a given date) for corrections and credit notes, which would also let the OSS endpoint verify former rates instead of accepting them with a warning.

## Questions

### How do I ask for one of these?

Write to hello@veriport.io with your use case and volume, or tick "bulk / other" on the waitlist. We answer every message and keep a count; the count is what moves a line up.
