# Status

Two kinds of information: what we report about our own components (by hand, with incidents written when they happen), and what the Commission’s VIES reports about itself and each member state (fetched every five minutes). A member state marked unavailable means validations for that country are answered from the dated cache, or 503 when no cached answer exists. The 24-hour and 30-day record per member state, the outage episodes and the error codes are on the [VIES status page](/vies-status).
